The ==|SGC|== "Stargate Command" Constitution
All Stargate Command personnel are to follow the clan constitution during their time of service otherwise be faced with a court-marshaling
SECTION -1
NON-COMBAT
Article-1. All SGC personnel are to play Freelancer in a friendly and polite manner to all players, even our enemies. At all times, SGC personnel are to uphold the clan honour by promoting fair play. AT NO TIME is a SGC member to swear or abuse any other player while in uniform.
Article-2. SGC personnel are never allowed to use any form of Game Modification (MOD), or cheat in any way. It is a server crime to do so, as is assisting a modder/cheater.
Article-3. SGC personnel, at their discretion, may check suspected modders for Speed, Shield, and Weapons modifications, and are to report any offenders to the Major General or a Server Administrator with as much evidence as possible, screen shots are preferred. If it is found that a SGC member knew that a person was modding and did not act on it, it will be seen as assisting a modder/cheater and would violate section 1, article 2 of the clan constitution.
Article-4. SGC personnel, at their discretion, can help new freelancers to the server by providing escorts, credits or by supplying information of trade routes, jumpholes, bases or rep hack locations.
Article-5. Only the Major General and his/her 2ic (2nd In Charge) can make executive clan decisions, ie. the decision to go to war with another clan. Only SGC officers with the rank Captain or above may recruit members into the clan. Only Officers with the rank 2nd Lieutenant or above may speak to non-members on behalf of the clan.
Article-6. All SGC personnel will adhere to the rules of friendly clans when in their controlled systems.
Article-7. All SGC officers with the rank Captain or above can ask players to leave our controlled systems.
Article-8. All SGC personnel must follow the constitution while in uniform (in tagged character).
Section-2
Combat
Article-1. All SGC personnel will only open fire when under fire or when on an assigned mission from Command HQ or a higher ranking member.
Article-2. All SGC personnel in the case of a nuisance freelancer, may fire a warning shot, warning of immanent destruction. if the warning is heeded the the SGC member will cease fire, if the warning is ignored the SGC member may open fire on the nuisance.
Article-3. After several warnings to hostile clans or suspect freelancers a SGC member may open fire on the enemy without further warning.
Article-4. Duels can be conducted at any time with the agrement of all invited parties.
Article-5. If a SGC member is under fire from the enemy and calls for backup it is the duty of all available members to assist the member under fire.
Article-6. If a SGC officer with the rank of Captain or higher ask a player to leave a SGC controlled system and the refuse the SGC officer may engage the player.
Article-7. If a allied or friendly member is under fire and calls for backup it is again their duty for any available SGC personnel to assist.
Section-3
Anti-smuggling & Anti-Pirating Patrols
Article-1. It is the duty for all SGC personnel to scan the cargo of all players for contraband.
Article-2. CARDIMINE: (ALL AREAS) If a SGC member finds a player smuggling cardimine they are to ask the player to "stop their ship and drop the cargo, or they will be engaged." If they follow the order the cardimine is to be destroyed immediately by the SGC member. If they do not heed, they are to be engaged and destroyed.
Article-3. ARTIFACTS: (ONLY LIBERTY) If a SGC member finds a player smuggling artifacts into Liberty they are to inform the player that artifacts are illegal in Liberty and are drop the cargo. if the follow the order the artifacts are to be destroyed immediately by the SGC member. If they do not heed, they are to be engaged and destroyed.
Article-4. LIGHT ARMS: (RHIELAND ONLY) If a SGC member finds a player smuggling light arms into Rhieland they are to inform the player that light arms are illegal in Rhieland and are drop the cargo. if the follow the order the artifacts are to be destroyed immediately by the SGC member. If they do not heed, they are to be engaged and destroyed.
Article-5. If a smuggler manages to escape with the contraband the SGC member at their own discretion may later pursue the smuggler, and destroy the offedning ship.
Article-6. If a SGC member is found with contraband they are to be destroyed immediately and reported to their Stargate Team 2ic, their Stargate Team Section Commander or the Major General, so they can be investigated and court marshaled.
Article-7. SGC personnel are to come to the aid of any Freelancer who reports having money, equipment or commodities taxed from them by either a pirate clan member, or a pirate freelancer. The pirate is then to be hunted down and destroyed. If a SGC member is found taxing members they will be court marshaled.
Article-8. After repeated offences, smugglers and pirates are placed on the Kill On Sight list (KOS). All SGC members are to kill all players on the KOS without warning.
NOTE: If a SGC member does not follow Section-1 Articles 1 and 2, they will be court marshaled and if they are found guilty they will be Dis-honorably discharged
